YouTube started the YouTube Originals series of produced content exclusively for subscribed customers. The YouTube Originals were made by some of the best content creators and produced by YouTube itself. The program is just like the Netflix or Amazon Prime Video original content, where the companies produce the content for themselves. As of now, the content made under the YouTube Originals program is not free to watch and is available for paying customers. But from the 24th September 2019, the non-paying users will be able to watch all of the YouTube Originals content for free.
All of the content that is released after the 24th September 2019 is free to watch for non-paying customers. Although the paid customers will still get the additional perks, the non-paying customers will also have access to the same. For all non-paying customers, YouTube Originals content will have the advertisements in between. The paying subscribers will have advertisement-free content, access to all of the episodes well-in-advance, and exclusive access to Director’s Cut and Bonus Scenes. For public viewers, all of the episodes will not be made available and will be released gradually.
The become a paid customer and enjoy the benefits, the user will have to pay $12 per month. In addition to all of the features mentioned above, YouTube Premium subscribers will get access to the Google Play Music service. Also, the users will receive the new feature of “Recommended Downloads” in the Smartphone app. The Recommended Downloads will show the list of interesting videos according to the browsing history of the users. Also, the users can download 500 songs from YouTube, that they have added in the Watch Later and Liked Videos list. Non-Paying customers will not get access to any of these features, except the content that is made public.
