To speed up the security checks and the boarding, United Airlines is offering the Biometric clearance for the frequent flyers. With the biometric clearance for frequent flyers, British Airways and Delta Airlines are already doing great work reducing the clutter on the airport. With the biometric verification for frequent flyers, the company could get all of the information and prioritize the frequent flyers for early boarding and other perks. The company will bring facial recognition and biometric verification at the airport for all of the frequent flyers on the list. With arrangements, the flyers would not have to undergo the usual document check procedure.
Clear, the biometric clearance will be available at United Airline’s Desks at Newark Liberty International and Houston George Bush Intercontinental. The first desk will be active by the end of this summer. Also, the company is working on to install the same at Chicago O’Hare Airport. The frequent Flyer passengers would have to purchase the Clear subscription to get access to the biometric clearance facility. Otherwise, they would have to pass through the normal document check at the official desks of United Airlines and would not have any of the perks. Although, the company is offering discounts for Frequent Flyers if they are willing to purchase the Clear membership.
United Airlines MileagePlus Members can get Clear membership for $119 per year. All of the United Credit Cardholders will get the membership for $109 per year and the passengers with Global Services or Premier 1K membership will get free access to the service. With the convenience of Biometric Clearance at the Airports, it will be easier for the passengers to clear the lines and board directly on the Airplane. Also, it’ll be much easier for the employees to perform the document verification process with this feature. As most of the Airlines are adopting the BIometric for flyers, this move by United Airlines is appreciated by masses.
