The founder, CEO, and president of Florida-based Timeshare resort company Westgate Resorts Ltd. is American entrepreneur David Alan Siegel. He is also the President and CEO of Central Florida Investments Inc. and CFI Resorts Management Inc. Real estate, hotel and apartment management, construction, insurance, travel services, transportation, and retail are some of his other commercial endeavors. Siegel, who was born in Illinois, was brought up in Florida.

Before enrolling at the University of Miami to study marketing and management, he attended Miami Senior High School. He finally left University though. Siegel started CFI in his family’s garage in 1970. By opening a 16-unit resort at Westgate Vacation Villas in 1982, he founded the Westgate family of resorts.
